Casey Gwen Copeland

Manager of Recruitment and Communications

School of Dance

Casey Copeland is a dancer, choreographer, educator, and researcher currently based in North Florida. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with her BFA in Dance in 2021 and her MA in Studio and Related Studies (emphasis on Dance Science) in 2022 from Florida State University where she now serves as Adjunct Faculty and the Manager of Recruitment and Communications. Copeland has had the privilege to perform Balanchine’s Divertimento 15, staged by Suzanne Farrell, and to train under Anjali Austin, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Ilana Goldman, Gwen Welliver, Kehinde Ishangi, and Tim Glenn. Mentored by Tom Welsh (PhD) and Jon Bailey (PhD) Copeland has presented and published research on mental health, wellness, neurodivergence and resilience for dancers both nationally and internationally.
