The ARTS in NYC program is designed to provide you with a critical bridge from college to the arts workforce, while immersing you in a rigorous semester of coursework and creative activities. Describe how you think the ARTS in NYC program would enhance your academic and artistic goals and aid in your transition into the professional field. (250 words)
The most significant part of ARTS in NYC is experiencing the creative dynamics of the city together. What personal attributes do you think you will bring to the group that will enhance your experience personally and with the group? (250 words)
A significant aspect of the program is a 10 hour/week demonstrative internship. Once accepted into the program, students work directly with ARTS in NYC director on internship placement research, selection, application, and interview process. As a preliminary step, please indicate three areas of interest for possible internship placement (i.e dance company management, marketing, photo/video, fundraising and development, archival organization and research)
List three NYC arts organizations where you would like to intern (See website list of past hosts):
For graduate students, participation in this semester program will include an RA or GA position. If accepted into the program, list your skills and interests (i.e social media, program newsletter, photo/video documentation, administrative liaison, writing tutor, special projects).
