Unbound: 2026-2027 Production Season

Unbound: A Season of Depth, Range, and Discovery

“Unbound” introduces a fresh approach to season programming that not only presents work, but reveals the depth, range, and complexity of the creative practices that are being activated within the School of Dance. At its core, “Unbound” marks a pivotal moment for the School of Dance—one that honors our rich legacy while creating space for reinvention. Rooted in what has long defined our excellence, yet oriented toward what lies ahead, this season invites openness, curiosity, and rigorous artistic inquiry. It signals a release from established norms and embraces new perspectives, amplifying the range, imagination, and expressive voices emerging within our community, alongside the new possibilities created through collaboration with faculty and distinguished guest artists. This season increasingly reflects the dynamic spectrum of inquiry that happens here at the School of Dance—where choreography intersects with research, performance engages broader cultural and artistic dialogues, and interdisciplinary collaboration expands what dance can be and do.
