Register here!The School of Dance 2027 Summer Dance Intensive is a 2 week summer camp that emphasizes both ballet and contemporary techniques, similar to our BFA program. Designed for dancers interested in all forms of dance, the dancers’ will have the option to receive instruction in ballet, pointe, contemporary, improvisation, jazz, and hip-hop classes as well as conditioning and cross-training. Students have daytime classes, evening classes, and fieldtrips. The program culminates with a showing in the Nancy Smith Fichter Dance Theatre on the final Saturday and is open to friends and family. All classes are taught by School of Dance faculty, alumni, and invited guests.

Dates: June 20–July 3, 2027
On Campus- Tuition, Housing, and Food: $2,500
Off Campus- Tuition and Food (Daytime Student) – $1750
The School of Dance 2027 Summer Dance Intensive is an on-campus or stay-at-home 2 week summer camp. All classes are taught by School of Dance faculty, alumni, and invited guests. Students are housed in an FSU dormitory and monitored by School of Dance camp counselors. Students may elect to stay off-campus and still participate in all classes and activities.
Once a student has been accepted into the program, a non-refundable $200 deposit is due on or before March 31. The deposit will be applied towards the costs for tuition. INTENSIVE fees MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY April 30. Intensive fees are non-refundable after May 15.

AUDITIONS

Online Audition Submissions – January 11 – March 1, 2027
*Onsite and online auditions use the same registration form.*
ONSITE AUDITIONS: An on-site audition class is held in combination with the Workshop For Young Dancers on February 7, 2027 in Montgomery Hall. Participation in the Young Dancers Workshop is not necessary. Students must be 14 by the start of Summer Dance Intensive. You may add the Audition to your cart for the Young Dancers Workshop or register separately.
ONLINE AUDITIONS: Applicants who are auditioning online will receive an email with audition instructions beginning January 11th, 2026. Online Auditions will be considered part of the February 7th audition if received by February 6th. All audition videos submitted after February 7th will be considered if space is available. If space is available, online auditions will be considered on a rolling basis until March 1st, 2027.
Students who are accepted into the program will be placed in groups depending on their technique proficiency.
