Rachel Susanne Hunter, a native of Cookeville, TN, gained experience working nationally and internationally as a performer, choreographer, and stage manager for Starr Foster Dance Project, K Dance in association with “Yes, Virginia Dance,” Ground Zero Dance Company, Amaranth Contemporary Dance, and Dim Sum Dance while earning her BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. She was a co-founder of R Squared Dance Company and recently earned her MFA in dance with a second focus in dance production from Florida State University. She has performed works by Monica Bill Barnes, John Jasperse, Gerri Houlihan, and James Frazier. Most recently, Rachel worked as Production Manager’s Assistant and FSU’s lighting designer/stage manager at the 2012 National American College Dance Festival in Washington, DC. She teaches modern and jazz technique, Introduction to Design, and Introduction to History and Appreciation of Dance.
