Lyndon Curtis Jr. Bonnett is a Trinidadian national and 1st generation Alumni of Florida State University. He is an interdisciplinary performing arts practitioner, dancer, choreographer, educator, and researcher. In December 2020, Lyndon graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in performing arts from the University of Trinidad and Tobago, Academy for the Performing Arts, where he trained in various dance genres including ballet, contemporary, West African folk, modern, Indian classical improvisation, and Afro-Caribbean dance. He also received training in production management, stage management, sound, and lighting design. In the spring of 2024, Mr. Bonnett earned his MFA in Dance from the Florida State University School of Dance, focusing on performance, choreography, dance kinesiology, dance pedagogy, and dance technological research.
As an educator, he has instructed courses in Still Image Graphic Design and Projection Design within the Survey in Dance Technologies class for undergraduate and graduate students. Additionally, Lyndon taught hip hop, popping, and Afro-contemporary dance to non-majors, undergraduate and 2023 summer dance intensive at the Florida State University School of Dance. Currently, Lyndon serves as an IT Support Technician, Dance Technology Assistant, and Equipment Reservation Assistant at the Florida State University School of Dance.
