TAKE A SEAT! is a two-year campaign of the Full House Project to sell every seat in the house.
Nancy Smith Fichter served as Chair of the School of Dance for 35 years and founded Friends of Dance 30 years ago. In celebration of their 30th Anniversary, Friends of Dance kicked off a two-year campaign in 2018 to sell every remaining seat in the Nancy Smith Fichter Dance Theatre. What a fitting way to honor Nancy Smith Fichter while supporting Florida State University School of Dance.
The Nancy Smith Fichter Dance Theatre, located in the beautifully renovated Montgomery Hall on Landis Green, is home to the nationally ranked Florida State University School of Dance and the Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography. The theatre houses state-of-the-art equipment and has a seating capacity of 380. You can become a lasting part of the theatre through the Full House Project.
The Nancy Smith Fichter Dance Theatre is integral to a dance major’s studies here at Florida State University. It provides not only state-of-the-art facilities but gives the students an extraordinary performing experience, making it a highlight of their dance education. A full house will provide a financial foundation that the School of Dance can build upon for years to come. During this short period, alums can get a $400 seat for $300.
All proceeds from this campaign will go directly through Friends of Dance and benefit School of Dance students through scholarships, support of School of Dance programs, and help maintain the beauty of the theatre.
