Dear Friends of Dance President and Board of Directors,

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for making the Friends of Dance Academic Year Scholarship possible. I was thrilled to learn of my selection for this honor, and I am deeply appreciative of your support.

I am currently in my second semester working towards a BFA in Dance. My goal is to graduate in 2020 and move to Los Angeles or New York to join a professional contemporary-ballet company. So far I am very happy to be learning form the dedicated faculty at FSU and working diligently towards growing as a dancer – physically, mentally, and spiritually.

By making this scholarship possible you have helped me to focus more on developing my talents. Your generosity is truly an inspiration to me

Sincerely,

Fatima Andere

Thank you all very much for your support in my endeavors at Florida State; it truly means a great deal. I do not know why each of you became Friends of Dance, but I do know that you all make the future of dance possible by supporting students, like me. Thank you – we need you! You are the fuel that helps our sparks ignite into flames, so that we may someday be a source of light within the dance community and beyond. Your generosity will not be forgotten or wasted.

With a grateful heart,

Rachel Hickman
