The Florida State University Department of Dance will present "Imprint" featuring the work of returning professional MFA candidates Kim Jones and Andy Noble May 16-17, in the Nancy Smith Fichter Dance Theatre in Montgomery Hall.

Jones, a former member of the Martha Graham Dance Company, shows her flare for the dramatic in her latest choreographic offerings. "Burning Consumption" is a solo that comments on society's need for more.

Noble, formerly with Utah's Repertory Dance Theatre, offers work that explores a wide range of aesthetics that include theatrical and technological components as well as original music composition by Davis.

"Open Flowers," co-choreographed with Noble, is a dark look at couples who avoid separation but at a heavy cost.

The concert closes with "Morango" choreographed by FSU faculty member Houlihan. This duet was recently performed by Jones and Noble at Ailey Theatre in New York City and was hailed by Danciti as a work of "deep emotional appeal."
