Nancy Smith Fichter Dance Theatre

Presented by 7 Days of Opening Nights

For 20 years, AXIS Dance Company has created works by dancers with and without disabilities, pioneering a powerful and inclusive form, “physically integrated dance.”

Legendary choreographer Bill T. Jones said, “There is no more defiant a land that I can think of than AXIS – they showed me what dance could be.”

For Seven Days, AXIS will perform a new work by Kate Weare that originated with AXIS’ residency at FSU’s internationally renowned Maggie Allessee National Center for Choreography last year. The troupe will also dance a new work by Joe Goode, a piece by Margaret Jenkins set to an original score by guitarist Fred Frith, and Victoria Marks’ “Dancing to Music.” Presented in conjunction with the FSU Dance Department.
